My name is Kyle Hoang, and I am passionate about my involvement in the United States Sea Cadet program. Having joined at the age of 11, I have dedicated myself to the organization and am proud to be expecting a promotion to the rank of Chief Petty Officer this fall. The process of advancing in rank involves meeting rigorous requirements, including attending specialized summer trainings and completing coursework aligned with United States Navy standards. In the summer of 2022, I participated in a training program focused on "Public Safety and Marksmanship," where I excelled and achieved an expert level. The following year, during the summer of 2023, I furthered my skills by attending "Public Safety, Police/Master-at-Arms" and "Leadership, Petty Officer Academy (POLA)" training programs. These experiences have deepened my understanding of law, negotiation, and leadership, equipping me with valuable skills to handle high-pressure situations and effectively delegate tasks within a team. Recently, I had the honor of representing the United States as a delegate at the Rotary Model United Nations in March 2024. My colleague was impressed by my communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities, which led to their recommendation for me to participate in a prestigious program aimed at developing a deeper understanding of national and international laws. In addition to my dedication to the Sea Cadets, I have maintained a remarkable 4.33 GPA in my academics and actively contribute to my community. As a Lunar New Year Lion Performer, a youth leader at my church, and the treasurer of the Asian American Alliance at my high school, I have gained a diverse range of experiences that I believe will make me a valuable addition to any team. I am open to exploring various career paths and am confident that my well-rounded experiences and skills make me a strong asset.
